Extreme Freeway Box Set

One of the pitfalls of collecting certain castings or styles is when manufacturers puts your favorites in expensive box sets. I collect Red, White and Blue diecast and Mattel had to put an exclusively decorated car in a $95 box set. This set was marked down to $49 but that is quite a bit to pay just for the one car!

Here is a close-up of the line of text under the cars.
This is the one car that I "gotta" have.
  


Somehow, I think that most of the other nine cars were released
in other packages and not exclusive to this set.


Stop the presses!

Fellow diecast collectors have let me know that ALL of the cars were found
in separate releases and NONE were exclusive to this set!
